Venue | Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele |
Sri Lanka have been outplayed by Australia in the T20I series so far. They lost the first game by a massive margin of 10 wickets and then lost the second game by 3 wickets. They did run Australia close in the second game but were not good enough to win. The batters have had no answers to the Australian bowling and have failed to help Sri Lanka get past even 130. Given the form Australia are in, Sri Lanka will find it hard to stop the Australian juggernaut.
The pitch at Pallekele Stadium in Pallekele generally remains in favour of the batters. It’s a small ground as well thus we may see a high-scoring game in the final T20I.
The weather in Pallekele will be hot and humid with the temperature hovering around 30 degrees. There will also be some clouds but the rain should stay away from the match.

Warner has been in top form of late. He was terrific for Delhi in the IPL 2022 and carried the top run against Sri Lanka as well where he scored a solid 70 in the first match.
Asalanka has batted well in both games but has not got any support from the other end. He will look to convert his start into a big one and give Sri Lanka a consolation win.
Marsh came into the series after some good performances in the IPL. He has been quiet in the T20I series so far but given his all-round skills, he is a must have player in the team.
Another top player to have in your team. Maxwell can be destructive in thsi format of the game and has good skills against the spinners, the strength for Sri Lanka. Also, he can chip in a few overs and pick wickets as well, as he did in the second T20I.
Wanindu Hasaranga turned the game on his head in the second T20I and picked up 4 wickets to give Australia a mighty scare. He has been in top form of late and will be Australia’s biggest nightmare in the game. He is a must have player in the team.
