Afghanistan have shown great character in the ODI series against Sri Lanka. They stunned the host in the first match by 60 runs before the second game was washed out due to rain. Afghanistan were threatening in the second ODI as well but a massive collapse saw them being bowled out for 228 from 131-1.
Afghanistan top order batters have done well but they lack depth in the team. Given Afghanistan's bowling, if they post a big score on the board, it will not be easy for Sri Lanka.
The pitch looks good to bat but gets slower in the second innings, making batting a little tough, especially against the spinners. However, if a batter is set, he can milk easy runs and take his team to a good score.
The second ODI was washed out due to rain but the weather looks good for the final ODI as there are little to no chances of rain. The temperature will be around 30 degrees.

Kusal Mendis came into the ODI series after a decent T20 World Cup, however, he could not make any significant contribution in the series opener. Mendis will have a big responsibility of giving Sri Lanka a good start as the team does not have a long batting lineup.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a staggering 68 in the first match and followed it up with another 53 in the second game. Given the form he has shown, he is the best pick from the Afghan camp.
Rashid Khan has been a match-winner for Afghanistan and he continues to impress one and all with his performances. He bowled well in the first game and picked up a wicket, giving away just 40 runs in a high-scoring game. He will be eyeing another good show in the final game.
Wanindu Hasaranga is the best spinner Sri Lanka have but in the first match, Hasaranga showed that he is much more than just a spinner. Hasaranga scored 66 in 46 balls and kept Sri Lanka in the hunt. His batting skills clubbed with tremendous bowling skills make him a match-winner.
Gulbadin Naib got the ball to swing in the first game as he picked 3 wickets for Afghanistan and helped the team beat Sri Lanka. In the second match, he didn’t get an opportunity to bowl so he will be eyeing a good show in the final game.
