Rajasthan Royals got their campaign off to a blazing start as they defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 72 runs. Jos Buttler, and Sanju Samson tore apart the SRH bowling, helping the team reach 203 while Trent Boult and Yuzi Chahal spell magic with the ball to complete a brilliant win.
Punjab Kings also started the tournament with a win over Kolkata Knight Riders. 50 by Bhanuka Rajapaksa and 40 by Shikhar Dhawan pushed them to a good score of 191-5 before they reduced KKR to 146-7 at the time of rain interruption which yielded a 7-run win for KKR.
The wicket is expected to help the batters. The ball should come on nicely on to the bat. The bowlers should stick with good lines to trouble the batters.
It will be a clear day with temperatures ranging between 33 and 31 degrees. There could be some dew in the evenings.

We don’t think both teams will be willing to change their winning combination. However, If Rabada has joined the team, he will most likely replace Tim Southee.
Rajasthan Royals have dominated Punjab Kings in IPL. They have won 14 of the 24 games.

Wicketkeeper | Jos Buttler (C), Sanju Samson, Bhanuka Rajapaksa |
---|---|
Batters | Shikhar Dhawan, Yashasvi Jaiswal |
All-rounders | Sam Curran (VC), Jason Holder, Sikandar Raza |
Bowlers | Trent Boult, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal |
Jos Buttler continued from where he left last season and whacked a blazing half-century in the first game. Buttler looked in peak form and smashed bowlers to all corners of the park. Punjab bowlers will have a big task of stopping Buttler.
Sanju Samson also scored 55 in the first game. Samson along with Buttler are the key to RR’s success and the captain would want to play another good knock in the coming game. You know if Buttler and Samson perform well, RR will have a good score on the board.
Dhawan had a good game and scored 40 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders. Dhawan has been of the most consistent batters in IPL history and he will look to use his experience and take Punjab to their maiden IPL title.
Sam Curran is a good player to have. He is a good new ball bowler and gets the ball to swing both ways. Also, he is a handy batter and can play crucial knocks with the bat when required.
Trent Boult set up RR’s win in the first over of SRH’s chase. Boult was on fire and bowled a double wicket maiden. He may not be playing international cricket now, but he is still a top player to have.
