Pakistan will host England in a historic seven-match T20I series. England are visiting Pakistan after 17 years which makes this series even more special. To play against a strong team ahead of the T20 World Cup will give both teams a reality check before the marquee event.
Pakistan last featured in the Asia Cup where they fared pretty well and reached the final but lost to Sri Lanka in the summit clash. They have a few concerns in the team as Babar Azam is not in the best of form while the middle order has also been vulnerable.
Meanwhile, England too have lost their last two T20I series to South Africa and India thus there is a lot to gain for both teams in the series.
The surface in Karachi is generally good for batting and often the matches turn out to be high-scoring ones. However, the new ball might nip around a bit for the first couple of overs.
The weather will be pleasant with the temperature ranging between 31 and 26 degrees. However, dew can have an impact on the game.

Pakistan have a horrible record against England in T20is
Matches Played | PAK | ENG | NR | |
---|---|---|---|---|
Overall | 21 | 6 | 14 | 1 |
Wicketkeeper | Mohammad Rizwan |

Batters | Babar Azam (vc), Alex Hales, Dawid Malan |
All-rounders | Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz , Moeen Ali (c), Chris Woakes |
Bowlers | Reece Topley, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf |
Babar Azam had a miserable run in the Asia Cup but his lean patch has been too stretched one would feel. Given the class Babar has, it’s almost certain that he is going to have a very good series against England.
Moeen Ali will be a delighted man to lead England in Pakistan. He will be desperate to do well. Ali is one of the best in this format. Being a spinner, he will enjoy the conditions while as a batter, he is well capable to decimate any bowling lineup.
Rizwan has been criticized for his slow strike rate but one cannot deny that he has been a top performer for Pakistan. He was the highest run scorer of the Asia Cup with nearly 300 runs in the tournament.
Mohammad Nawaz delivered some fantastic all-round performances for Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Given that England players struggle against spinners, Nawaz can be a trump card for Pakistan. Also, he is more than handy with the bat.
Naseem Shah had a wonderful run in the Asia Cup and he troubled a lot of batters with his sheer pace. It will be a good test for him against a strong England side.
