---|---|
Date | 24th August 2022 |
Time | 11:00 PM IST, 5:30 PM GMT, 6:30 PM LOCAL |
Venue | Lord’s, London |
London Spirits have played good cricket in the tournament and have won four out of the five games, with their only loss coming against Trent Rockets in the previous game. London Spirits were bowled out for 122 in 93 balls and the target was easily chased by Trent Rockets with six wickets to spare.
Meanwhile, the tournament has been a nightmare for Welsh Fire. They have played five games and have lost all. They were thrashed by Southern Brave by 9 wickets in the last game.
The surface at Lord's will assist the batters. The hardness of the pitch will allow the ball to come on nicely, allowing the batters to get better timing. The bowlers need good skills to survive in this format on such less helpful wickets.
The weather will be cloudy and the chances of rain are very less at 10 per cent. The temperature will range between 17 to 28 degrees.
Adam Rossington (wk), Daniel Bell-Drummond, Ben McDermott, Daniel Lawrence, Eoin Morgan (c), Kieron Pollard, Jordan Thompson, Liam Dawson, Nathan Ellis, Mason Crane, Chris Wood
Jacob Bethell , Joe Clarke (wk), Josh Cobb (c), Ben Duckett, David Miller, Leus du Plooy, Matthew Critchley, Dwaine Pretorius, David Payne, George Scrimshaw, Jake Ball
Welsh Fire made a few changes in the last game thus they should play the same team to give players enough chances. London Spirit will be without Glenn Maxwell who has returned to the national team for the ZIM tour.
The two teams met once last season and Welsh Fire won by 3 wickets

Eoin Morgan has played a few good innings for his team in the tournament. In the last game, he scored 27 runs and helped his team to a decent total. He is a key player in the London Spirit team.
We all are how much of an impact Pollard can have on a game thus he is a key player to have in the team. Pollard has not done much in the tournament and he will be keen to get some big performance behind him.
He is another all-rounder who can create a big impact. He bats in the top order and can give a back a real whack. Also, he is a very handy bowler and can chip in with a few wickets.
David Miller has not lived up to the expectations so far but we have no option but to back him. There are not a lot of game changers in the Welsh Fire team.
We need to pick as many all-rounders as possible to improve the balance of the side. Pretorius is a good all-rounder who is handy with the bat and equally potent with the ball.
