Lancashire played 14 games in the group stage and won eight of those matches. They suffered defeats in just 4 games and two matches ended as NR. They ended the group stage as the second-ranked team from the North group. In their last game, they defeated Warwickshire by two wickets and ended their two-match losing streak.
Meanwhile, Essex also had a similar tournament, winning 9 and losing 4 of the 14 games they played. Essex picked up some great form in the latter end of the group stage and won four games on the bounce. They will be high on confidence after those 4 wins.
The wicket in Manchester is expected to favour the batters. England are producing some of the flattest wickets to promote high-scoring matches and we doubt they will give a wicket where there will be any help for the bowlers. Only bowlers who can deceive the batters with their skills will do well.
The weather will be cloudy but the rain should stay away from the match. The temperature will hover between 12 to 20 degrees.

Adam Rossington (wk), Robin Das, Michael-Kyle Pepper, Daniel Lawrence, Paul Walter, Tom Westley, Daniel Sams, Simon Harmer (c), Aaron Beard, Ben Allison, Samuel Cook
Phil Salt and Mathew Parkinson will not be available for Lancashire due to national commitments as both are part of the England squad against India so they will have to make two forced changes. Essex are likely to field the same team that decimated Glamorgan
The two teams have met only on two occasions in T20Is and both games have been won by Lancashire

Dane Vilas – Lancashire skipper had a good game against Warwickshire and played a crisp inning of 42 at a strike rate of 200. This kind of innings will give him a lot of confidence. He is a good player to pick in the absence of Phil Salt
Tim David has also been very good in the tournament. The Singapore player has a reputation of someone who can hit the ball miles. He can turn the game on his head with a quick fire knock. If he bats 40 balls, he will get runs at a rate of more than 200. He bowls as well thus is a good selection.
Daniel Sams can be a good option for all-rounder. He bats down the order for Essex and can play some quick fiery cameos. He will also give 4 overs with the ball and thus is a good pick. He picked up 3 wickets in the last game.
He is the second highest wicket taker of the tournament with 23 wickets in 14 games. He picked up 2 wickets in the last game as well. He has to be in the team given his form.
