After beating Australia in the T20I series, India will now face South Africa in a three match series. These three games against South Africa will be the final T20Is for India before the T20 World Cup. India will be pleased with their batters' performance in the Australia series as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav, all performed well, however, the bowling will be a concern. The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Harshal Patel have looked very ordinary.
South Africa last played against England in the T20I series and defeated the hosts 2-1. The Proteas have a good team at their disposal and they will fancy their chances of winning the series against India, especially given the fact that they have come in with a full-strength squad.
The surface should be good for batting, but spinners are likely to have a role to play. The pitches in the south are slightly damp thus the ball grips and turn once it gets soft. If the batters can play sensibly against the spinners, they should be able to take the team to a good score.
The weather will be slightly cloudy, but rain is unlikely to affect the game. The temperature will range between 25 to 30 degrees.

Mohammed Shami, Deepak Hooda and Hardik Pandya won’t be part of the team. South Africa are likely to play with the same team that defeated England. Temba Bavuma will return as South Africa captain.
It has been a close contest between India and South Africa in T20Is.

Virat Kohli is gaining form in the last few games. Having scored a century against Afghanistan, he got the monkey off his back and then he scored a blazing 63 against Australia to help India win the series 2-1. Kohli is someone who rides on confidence thus we are expecting him to get better with every game.
The no 1 T20I batter, Yadav has been in the form of his life. Many experts have called him the best T20I batter at the moment. Surya was at his best in the final T20I against Australia and played a match-winning knock of 69 off 36 balls.
Reeza Hendricks was in stellar form in the T20I series against England and scored 180 runs in 3 games at an average of 60. He will be keen to continue the momentum and perform well in India as well. Being a top-order batter, a lot will rest on his shoulders.
Tabraiz Shamsi is always a threat in T20Is and he will enjoy the conditions in Thiruvananthapuram as well. He had a terrific series against South Africa and picked eight wickets in three games. He delivered a good performance in CPL as well.
Axar Patel had a terrific series against Australia. He was the game changer of India as every time India needed a wicket, he delivered for the team. He was very hard to hit away as well and thus he will be one of the key players for India in the coming series.
