India won the ODI series dominatingly but haven’t looked superior in the two t20 games where they lost the first game and the last match went till the very last over with only a 100 to chase
After losing the ODI series, the Kiwis have looked in good touch. They have made use of their spinners well in the first match and the same would be the case on Wednesday. The wickets in the first two games have not been great for T20I cricket and both teams will be expecting a decent surface in Ahmedabad.
The pitch is not a high scoring one with an average first innings score is 152. Once set, the batsman needs to make use of the opportunity. Bat first seems the way to go.
The temperature would be between 15 to 31 degrees Celsius in Ahmedabad. Rain is not much of a threat in Ahmedabad.
Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan (wk)/Jithesh Sharma, Rahul Tripathi/Prithvi Shaw, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandy (C), Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Shivam Mavi, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh/Umran Malik
Finn Allen, Devon Conway (wk), Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Daryl Mitchell, Micheal Bracewell, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson, Jacob Duffy, Blair Tickner
Prithvi Shaw could be given a chance as opener Ishan Kishan has not looked comfortable. Jithesh Sharma can also come in place of Rahul Tripathi. Also, India may opt for the extra pace of Umran Malik in place of Arshdeep Singh who has looked off-colour.
IND VS NZ Head-to-Head Records
India have enjoyed a fair amount of success against New Zealand in T20Is.

Washington Sundar has been outstanding in the T20 series. He has been brilliant in contributing with the bat, ball and on the field as well. He has been the go-to bowler for Hardik in the ongoing series.
Bracewell has been good with the ball as the pitches have been helpful for the spinners and slow bowlers. He will come in handy with the bat too in the end overs and is surely one to count on.
Glenn Phillips is a great contributor in the T20s. He is a beast with the bat when it comes to t20s and with his part-time offies coming into play, he is sure to contribute in heavily.
Conway has been free-flowing withthe bat since the last One Day International. He will again be a key player to give a good start to the New Zealand batting innings.
Suryakumar Yadav has just been unstoppable in the t20s. No.1 batter in the T20Is would again be expected to be the deciding factor in the final game of the series and the kiwis would be well aware of that.
