Barbados Royals have been unstoppable in the tournament so far. The team is yet to be defeated in the tournament and has won all the six games they have played. They defeated Trinbago Knight Riders in the last game to continue their winning run. Having bowled out Knight Riders for 132, Barbados cruised to a win by eight wickets, courtesy of a blazing half-century by Kyle Mayers.
Jamaica Tallahwahs are right behind Barbados in the points table at second, however, they have just won three of their six games. They lost to St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the last game. Having posted just 130 on the board, the team suffered a 8-wicket loss in a rain-curtailed game. When these two teams last met, Barbados defeated Jamaica by 8 wickets.
The surface is getting slightly slower with back-to-back games. Spinners are not easy to hit thus runs with the new balls become crucial. This is the reason that the openers are the ones who have done well in the tournament
The temperature will range between 31 and 24 degrees but the fans can breathe a sigh of relief as rain is unlikely to affect the game today, just for a change.
Kyle Mayers, Quinton de Kock (wk), Corbin Bosch, David Miller (c), Azam Khan, Jason Holder, Rahkeem Cornwall, Hayden Walsh, Obed McCoy, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Ramon Simmonds
Brandon King, Kennar Lewis, Amir Jangoo/Shamarh Brooks (wk), Rovman Powell (c), Raymon Reifer, Fabian Allen, Imad Wasim, Chris Green, Migael Pretorius, Mohammad Amir, Nicholson Gordon
Both teams are unlikely to change too much in their team combination. Barbados may play the same team to keep the momentum while Jamaica might bring in Shamarh Brooks
It has been an even tussle between these two teams in the CPL.

Kyle Mayers has been sensational for Barbados Royals. He has stood up for the team both with bat and ball. He once again was on song against Knight Riders and scored 79 runs in 36 balls. Overall, he has scored 285 runs in 6 games, most by any batter so far. He has also taken five wickets for the team.
Corbin Bosch has been in peak form in the last few games. After scoring back to back half centuries, he scored an unbeaten 33 in the last game. Given his run in the recent few games, he can be a valuable buy for us. Also, he is a top order batter so will get more balls to face and thus can play big knocks.
Rovman Powell has been good and very consistent in the tournament. He has got runs for the team in almost every game. He is the third highest run scorer of the tournament with 206 runs in 6 games.
Mujeeb ur Rahman is back in the Barbados Royals team. He had a stellar run in the Asia Cup and performed exceptionally well. He made an immediate impact in the CPL and picked 3 wickets for 17 runs against Knight Riders in the last game.
Mohammad Amir has taken six wickets in 10 games so far and has enjoyed a decent tournament. He can be a good selection as he has more often than not picked up wickets with the new ball in CPL 2022.
