India women and Australia women will cross swords in a mouth-watering semi-final of the T20 World Cup. India women finished second in their group, having beaten Pakistan, West Indies and Ireland. They lost to England women in their last game.
Meanwhile, Australia women topped the group, winning all games of the league stage. Australia women have had an upper hand over India women in recent times and will start as favourites.
The surface will be good for batting, however, there may be some movement on offer with the new ball. Spinners can also cause some trouble for the batters.
The weather will be clear with the temperature dipping to 16 degrees in the evening.

The Australian team is laced with match winners from top to bottom. It's hard to pick one but Beth Mooney can be a game-changer in the semifinal. She has been on and off this season but has not been at her very best. She, however, can turn things around in the semis.
Ashleigh Gardner is a great option from the Australian team. There is hardly any better all-rounder than Gardner at the moment. She is a great batter in the middle order and can play according to the situation while she is an equally good bowler, having already taken a five-wicket haul in Women’s World Cup this year.
With eight wickets in four matches, Megan Schutt is the leading wicket taker of the tournament and for a reason. She has been tremendous for Australia over the years with the new as well as the old ball.
Smriti Mandhana has picked up some great form in the women’s T20 World Cup. She has scored two half-centuries in the three matches. Mandhana is India’s biggest hope in the crucial semifinal.
Renuka Singh Thakur has enjoyed bowling against Australia. She almost helped India beat Australia in the CWG final where she took 4 wickets. A similar show by her in the Women’s World Cup might give India an upper hand over Australia.
