Sanju Samson’s form with the bat has seen him promoted to open the batting for Delhi Daredevils, and after he hit another 60 against Kolkata Knight Riders, he is likely to retain that place against Kolkata. Calls for Rishabh Pant to be promoted up the order have so far been ignored, however. Ankit Bawne replaced Aditya Tare for the Kolkata game, but it remains to be seen if he has done enough to retain his place.

He followed his century against the Supergiants with scores of 39 and 42 against Kolkata and Hyderabad, before adding another 60 against the Knight Riders last time out. Chris Morris was a key figure with the ball when Delhi beat Kings XI Punjab in their last clash, though the 29-year-old has failed to take a wicket in either of the Daredevils’ last two matches.
