They will be looking to Richard Levi and Kieron Pollard to come up good with the bat. Though they haven't played any major innings so far in the two matches, they will be crucial to the Cobras' batting performance. Cebo Tshiki scored 47 in the last match and he can also be expected to play a similar innings here.
Dane Paterson is the one from their pace department that the Warriors may feel a little uncomfortable against. The fast bowler has taken four wickets in two games including a three-wicket haul in the first match against the Knights. He will be the key for the Cobras and we predict him to be their top bowler in this match.
Majority of their runs can be expected to come from the bats of JJ Smuts, Colin Ackermann and Colin Ingram. The key, however, is going to be Smuts who smashed a fifty in the first match against the Dolphins. The opener had also made a fifty against the Cobras last season and we predict him to top-score for the Warriors again.
Andrew Birch will be the one to watch out for with the ball as there is a high possibility of him making life difficult for the Cobras at the crease. The pace bowler was in imperious form against the Dolphins as he took 3-16 in four overs. Last season too, he took a three-for against the Cobras and things should look bright for the warriors if he is able to replicate that performance.
Despite a bad start to the season, the Cape Cobras still start out as favorites to win this contest at 1.72 with bet365. The Warriors were absolutely clinical in their opening game against the Dolphins and looking at how the two teams appear on paper, we suggest betting on the Warriors with bet365 at best odds of 2.10.
Cape Cobras will be playing at their home ground for the first time this season and they boast a fantastic record against the Warriors. The two teams have gone head-to-head 23 times in the past with the former emerging victorious on 15 occasions. So going by this, the Cobras should have an edge going into this game.
However, they have started off this year's campaign in a rather poor fashion with two defeats in a row. The Warriors, on the other hand, have made an ideal start to the tournament with a crushing victory over the Dolphins in their opening fixture. What this means is that while the Warriors will have the momentum in their favor, the Cobras will be playing under a lot more pressure.
The Warriors are slightly more balanced as a unit and also have a little extra sting in their bowling attack which is why we predict them to beat the Cape Cobras in this match.
